Canned tomatoes

The edible parts of tomatoes is canned, and product is preserved as acidified food with a pH level lower than 4.5, and a proper heat treatement to reach a commercialy sterile with a self life of three years.

The canned tomatoes without steam neither peel are packed in different styles:

  • Whole tomatoes.
  • Diced tomatoes.
  • Crused tomatoes.
  • Tomato pure.

Depending of packing media and ingredients, the canned tomatoes are canned in differents presentations:

  • In tomato juice, with sieved tomato pure and citric acid to reduce the pH level bellow 4.5.
  • Tomato sauce is a mix of oil, salt, spices and citric citric to reduce pH level bellow 4.5.

Seasons

The canned tomatoes are packed on july thorugh september, but tomato sauces are canned through the year.
