Canned strawberries

The canned strawberries consisting of edible parts of strawberries, preserved as a acid food with a pH level bellow 3.6, and a proper heat treatement to reach a commercialy sterile product and three years of slef life after packaging.

Once no edible parts of strawberries has been removed (stem and calyx) are packed in the fllowing styles:

  • Whole strawberries.
  • Strawberrie pulp.

The canned strawberries, depending of packing media are commercializated in the following presentations:

  • Light syrup, consisting of a syrup range 14º to 17º brix, or syrup if range is 17º to 20º brix.
  • Water. Product is preserved just in water with no other additives than colorings.
  • Juice. Product is preserved in juice of apple or pear with more than 10º brix.

The canned strawberries are packing without coloring of colored by E-124 or E-129.
